pt. balkrishna sharma 'naveen' govt. p-g college, shajapur is situated on the agra-mumbai national highway-3. hence, the college provides easy access to students coming from the surrounding rural areas.

 

 

the college started its journey in 1958 as janta inter college near now known traffic point with a small space provided to it by higher secondary school 2. the college shifted to its present premise in 1976. at the time of its inception only ug arts classes were conducted in the college. later on in 1976, ug and pg classes in science and commerce also started. law came to present position from night class and now it is a full time course catering to students interested in law imparting llb degree. and now the government has established a law college separately. the college is situated 60 kilometers from ujjain and 100 kilometers from indore on nh-3. students wishing to pursue higher education prefer to get enrolled here because of its easy access and its commitment to provide quality higher education for which the college has been striving since its inception. the college is marked as the lead college of the district. hence, it has to monitor and guide nine government and eight private colleges located in the district. the college is also recognized as the examination centre for two private  and one government colleges. though the college lacks sufficient infrastructural and other facilities required for rendering higher education, it has been making untiring efforts to realize the vision and the mission with which the college started its journey.
